I can't believe yesterday was the first time I ventured downtown for the annual Procession of the Species parade! I know shouldn't have been (because this is Bellingham afterall) but I was just amazed by all the wonderfully creative costumes. Have a look for yourself! It's so hard to choose but I think this spider was my favorite participant! You can see the rest of my photos here.
These are great photos. Do you mind if I steal this picture? That's my son, and I'd like to add it (with attribution) to the couple of post-parade shots I got of him in costume.
I'm a professional photographer in Bellingham, WA. I spend most of my time photographing people in various activities and life stages, but as you can see here, there's pretty much nothing I won't focus my lens on!
Since I was a young child, I've been mesmerized by the camera's magical ability to document the intricate details of our world. Having always sensed that I see the world just a little bit differently than most, my camera is my saving grace as it allows me to express my view of anything and everything I encounter... the patterns, the textures, the colors, the light, the details...these are the elements of our world of which I am constantly aware and I am infinitely thankful for the ability to share my view with you.

He looked so proud, I was impressed that he decided not to go bi-pedal!
